The French Language Assessor is responsible for administering Batterie de tests de classement aux Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (BTC-NCLC) assessment tool and referring newcomers to the most appropriate language training program funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Ministry of Labour Training and Skills Development (MLTSD). This lexicon was developed with the common communications of the assessment centers in mind, but the document is not exhaustive.

Testing Accommodations for CLBPT and BTC-NCLC

This document is intended for use by BTC-NCLC and CLBPT licensed assessment centers and their certified assessors as a guide to possible accommodations when a client indicates special needs at the time of test registration. This information is not exhaustive. Please always use your best judgment when accommodating your clients. Think about what is best for the client while keeping in mind the reliability and standardization of the test.
