ABOUT
Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks is undertaking multiple projects which support the development of new test forms for its French placement test and resources for ongoing professional development for instructors.
TERM: This is a part-time (16 hours per week) fixed-term contract with a 3-month probationary period. Hours of work are variable and may be scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday, based on operational requirements.
DURATION: September 28, 2026 – March 31, 2027
SALARY: $ 32.00 per hour
BENEFITS: 3 paid days sick leave; 4% vacation pay; flex time work schedule (according to existing company policy); pro-rated holiday benefits according to Ontario Employment Standards
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The CCLB is seeking a qualified, fully bilingual (French/English) individual to fulfill the role of NCLC/CLB Project Officer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and administration of pilot activities for the BTC-NCLC project and Professional Development activities for the ERN project. The NCLC/CLB Project Officer will work closely with staff as well as many key external partners to ensure targets, timelines, materials, data, and communications are managed effectively.
BTC-NCLC Pilot Test Coordination:
- Coordinate with pilot sites, assessors, invigilators, and test takers to support the set-up and delivery of in-person and online pilot sessions.
- Prepare, manage, ship, and track in-person and online pilot materials.
- Manage participation targets across skills, delivery modes, and levels.
- Ensure returned materials are accounted for, enter and organize test-related data.
- Support related administrative tasks such as letters of agreement and invoice processing.
Professional Development Coordination:
- Learn and use the project learning management system (LMS) to support professional development delivery.
- Support engagement activities and contribute to the implementation and roll-out strategy, as required.
- Support participant enrollment and access to online professional development materials.
- Respond to and troubleshoot user questions related to LMS access, navigation, and participation.
- Collect, organize, and summarize feedback from instructors, facilitators, and participants.
- Support recommendations for professional development updates and LMS improvements.
WHAT YOU BRING
Qualifications:
- College or University degree (completed or in progress) or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Mandatory bilingualism in English and French, with strong written and oral communication skills in both languages.
- Demonstrated experience using a learning management system (LMS) to support online learning, testing, training, or participant access.
- Experience coordinating projects, pilots, training activities, assessments, or multi-site initiatives.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage timelines, track participation, coordinate materials, and follow up with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail when entering, organizing, tracking, and submitting participant, assessment, feedback, or project-related data.
OTHER
The CCLB may use AI tools to assist in screening and ranking applications; however, candidates will not be screened or assessed solely through automated decision-making.
