Generative Artificial Intelligence in an Indigenous Context: Part 2
Held on March 16, 2026, the second webinar in a two-part series provided participants with an opportunity to present the assignments they had completed following the first session. This interactive session drew on concrete examples, particularly images and texts generated by artificial intelligence.
The webinar also fostered discussion, sparked new lines of thought, and offered practical ideas for integrating AI into professional practices in Indigenous contexts in a thoughtful and critical manner. The webinar concluded with a presentation of an overview of the guide designed to support the thoughtful use of AI in Indigenous contexts.

Didacticiel national du Curriculum CLIC : Étape 2
Held on March 26, 2026, this webinar presented the new units of the 2025–2026 Didacticiel national du curriculum CLIC and discussed how they contribute to planning and improving teaching practices. Participants learned about the accomplishments of the project’s second phase and their impact on the teaching of French as a second language to adults in Canada.
The webinar also helped participants to become familiar with these new resources and encouraged their integration into teaching practices.

Literacy in CLIC and FLS Settings
Held on March 27, 2026, this webinar enabled CLIC and FLS instructors to deepen their understanding of the needs of adult literacy learners (ALL). Participants explored different literacy profiles, reflected on the challenges they face in their practice, and discovered teaching practices that promote the development of literacy skills.
This page brings together the resources presented during the webinar to help integrate these insights into professional practice.

Community News
Between March and April 2026, the CCLB proudly hosted the first two editions of La francophonie en mouvement, a professional development initiative designed to foster dialogue, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices within the CLIC and FLS sector serving adult immigrant learners. The first edition, held in Ottawa in March under the theme Construire ensemble les pratiques d’enseignement basées sur les NCLC, brought together instructors from across the sector to reflect on pedagogical practices rooted in the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens. The second edition, held in Moncton in April in partnership with the CCNB – Centre d’apprentissage des langues, explored the theme Entre tradition et innovation en Atlantique, with discussions centered on artificial intelligence, digital tools, culturally responsive teaching practices, and the evolving role of instructors as cultural mediators supporting newcomer integration.
Across both events, participants engaged in insightful conversations and practical exchanges aimed at strengthening teaching practices and responding to the evolving realities of adult immigrant learners. These initiatives reaffirm the CCLB’s commitment to creating spaces that encourage professional dialogue, innovation, and collaboration within the sector. By bringing together diverse perspectives and experiences, La francophonie en mouvement continues to contribute to a stronger, more connected teaching community dedicated to learner success. Don’t miss our next conference, which will take place in Winnipeg in May 2027!
New CLB 3 NLOC Units to Support Real-World Language Learning!
