Demonstrating Language Proficiency

in the Healthcare Sector in Canada

CCLB is excited to announce that we are bringing together speakers from diverse professional backgrounds to participate in an online panel discussion around demonstrating language proficiency in the healthcare sector in Canada.

About the online panel discussion:

The health care sector as a whole is facing labour shortages. Consequently, Canada is increasing its targets in immigration and the goal now is to get around 8,000 new health-care workers a year as opposed to the 4,000 per year from 2017 – 2022.

How will licensing and regulatory bodies ensure language proficiency in health care workers is adequate to meet the various needs of patients, employers and stakeholders?

On October 20, CCLB, a charitable not-for-profit organization, is convening a panel of experts to discuss the issue and provide insights to policy makers, licensing bodies, governments and associations.

Date: October 20, 2023
Time: 1:00pm to 2:30pm Eastern Time
Cost: $25 plus applicable taxes per person (CAD)

Note: This online panel
discussion will be recorded.
