This is a Part-time position that is primarily remote, with mandatory in-person meetings required at least once a month. You also need to be available to work on-site when the role requires it. Candidates for employment positions must be located in or near the National Capital Region. ABOUT
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper who can also assist with select administrative duties to join our team on a part-time basis. As bookkeeper, you will be responsible for supporting full-cycle financial accounting and work in compliance with relevant accounting standards. As administrative assistant, you will support the finance team and Executive Director with various tasks, such as ordering office supplies and liaise with CCLB vendors.
TERM: Part-time position (80%/29 hours/4 days per week)
START DATE: July 02, 2025
SALARY: $58,000 (pro-rated to 80%)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and balance general ledgers, including Purchase orders, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Update monthly cashflows for projects
- Reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements.
- Prepare and submit GST/HST and other tax returns.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Monitor and process financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Maintain and organize financial records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform other related financial and administrative duties as required.
WHAT YOU BRING
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with minimum 1 year of experience in a full cycle accounting role.
- Experience with online banking platforms, electronic funds transfers.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet financial deadlines
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online, MS Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available for overtime work as tasks require.
Assets:
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
WHO YOU ARE
This position requires close collaboration with the Finance Manager, Accounting Technician, and Project Managers.
This position requires the ability to manage multiple bookkeeping tasks simultaneously and ensure accuracy in financial records. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks, exchange relevant information with colleagues, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
