CLB Online Self-Assessment 

Project Description

The CCLB is working in partnership with the Centre for Education and Training to develop an online self-assessment tool (in English and French) referenced to the CLB 2000 document.  Visitors to this website will be able to access an online assessment to determine their Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) levels in two skill areas - reading and listening. 

This online tool will be accessible to both immigrants and prospective immigrants interested in determining their second language proficiency level based on the CLB and NCLC to inform their decisions about:

• employment, access to professions and trades,
• further education and training
• immigration and integration into Canadian society

The CCLB responsible for the translation, adaptation and development of the French language component of the project, as well as a providing a range of CLB and NCLC support materials and links to other sites.
