Promotion of the new Literacy Placement Tool (LPT) with Alberta Teachers in the classroom

The Canadian Language Benchmarks Literacy Placement Tool ( Volumes 1 and 2) facilitates the placement of ESL/FSL learners into appropriate language and literacy training programs. 

CCLB will provide 5 half day workshops to Alberta ESL program literacy teachers, site administrators and literacy practitioners who serve immigrants in their programs.

Key Outcomes:

Alberta’s ESL literacy teachers and literacy practitioners who serve immigrants in their programs are better informed and trained on how to use the two new literacy assessment documents (Volumes 1 & 2) in their literacy classes.
