National Calibration of CLBPT LINC Assessors and Regional delivery of CLBPT Training.
Project Description Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has provided funding for the CCLB to provide services and supports to LINC assessors trained in the use of the CLBPT for assessment centres in the Atlantic, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Territories.
1) The CCLB will develop and implement a model of formal calibration of CLBPT speaking/ listening and writing tests in consultation with the regional CLBPT trainers. The full day calibration workshops will take place from November 2007 through January 2008 for LINC assessors certified to use the CLBPT. Workshops will take place in the Atlantic, Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
LINC Assessors will benefit from the calibration process to ensure that their skills are current, consistent and reliable. 2) The CCLB will also provide ongoing delivery of CLBPT training to new LINC assessors hired by LINC assessment centres during the year. Funding for the National Calibration and Regional Training Delivery of LINC Assessors is provided by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Funding for development of calibration materials also provided by the Provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. Alberta and British Columbia have provided funding for calibration sessions of provincial assessors in each province. The full-day workshops will take place in December (Alberta) and January (BC).
