Statistics Canada¹ identifies language as a significant factor in immigrants not finding employment in Canada, behind foreign credential recognition and a lack of Canadian work experience. This resource has been developed for employers, human resource professionals and employment counselors to facilitate the successful employment of newcomers to Canada. It also provides helpful language-based tips and resources for those in the employment sector employing, working with, or training immigrants.

This resource can support your counselling and hiring services with immigrants who have English as a Second Language.
