Other Types of Language Assessment

 

       There are other assessments that have been compared to the

      Canadian Language Benchmarks or developed based on them.

      These are listed below. If you have been assessed already with

      one of these tools, you may already know your language level.

     

    

     

 The CELBAN was developed to assess the language levels of newcomers who were nurses in another country and who want to work in the nursing field in Canada. To find out more, click on CELBAN

 

 

 

 

    

 

 

 

 

     CanTEST This is an assessment tool used by the University of

     Ottawa. CanTEST has been compared to Canadian Language

     Benchmarks. Benchmarks 7-11 are needed for academic and
